In order to do this I have to learn first and foremost to choose me. In order to shine the light of compassion on others, I must first be shining it on myself. Simply said but never simply done. I choose these things right now: to return, after two months absence, to doing yoga every morning as a means to prepare my mind/body for meditation. And to meditate every single day without fail. My Reiki is always involved in this meditation and I thank Holy Fire gratefully for its healing during this time. So, although it may seem like Divine multitasking, I am doing Self Reiki, receiving an ignition by myself, and meditating all at the same time. For me, this goes together as naturally as warm bread dipped in olive oil. The warm bread is my communion with God through meditation and the olive oil is the Reiki Fire which spreads through me. I am so very very grateful for Reiki, each and every day.
Do we realize, truly, what a gift we have in Reiki? Do we pay it homage by using it every day? If not then let us begin to honor and appreciate the gift we have in our hands. Reiki self first then others, in the words of Hawayo Takata.
My other prayer today is to choose my thoughts, accepting only thoughts that come from a heart of compassion.
I express my deep gratitude and love for each and every soul in this life I know personally and for those I do not. May we all share the light of compassion this day, first and foremost for ourselves so that we can then radiate that Light towards others.
Great Bright Light. Rose
