Now in a different world where we know very few others and no one knows Reiki here, or at least that's how it seems right now. But Reiki is still in our hearts and in our minds and in our daily practice. And Reiki continues to call us to it, IF we but choose to seek it. And perhaps it is our purpose here to bring Reiki to others in a new and different way than we have known before.
That is what I am discovering here. That it is easy to choose Reiki when it surrounds your everyday life. But to choose it in a new place with new people, to be a drop in the vast ocean of the universe, to exist just here, just now and still find purpose...the next part of that quote says: "..and in that she knew her brilliance she found her freedom." I don't know who wrote these words but they are perfect for me at this moment in time. Choosing Reiki here is a conscious decision and one we continue to make, just as we choose our thoughts, just as we choose the clothes we will wear.
Here in England, the days as still quite warm and windy as we spend time near the sea with two manic but lovable dogs. I know the meaning of the word manic now as one of them reminded me yesterday, yanking me unceremoniously to the ground while leaping from the car for a walk. My own movements are slow and gentle and not one with his! But we are creatures that are meant to adapt and change and so we will. Adapt to them and they to us as this is our job right now; caring for these two loving creatures who depend on us for the next few weeks. The walks here are unbelievable; many and varied. Forest walks, beach walks that go for miles along the coastal path of southern England, river walks, and many we have yet to discover. The British surely revere walking, as much of their land is devoted to it, and most everyone has a dog. It is an interesting time in a new place and we are truly blessed. Looking today to recognizing our own inner brilliance and experiencing our freedom. Have a beautiful day wherever you roam. Om.
